2. No Account Required
DropMe is a "no-login" service. You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or set a password to send or receive files. We do not maintain user profiles or permanent records of your identity.
3. Data We Collect
Due to the nature of our service, data collection is minimal:
- Uploaded Files: The files you choose to upload are stored on our servers temporarily.
- Session Metadata: We generate a temporary session ID and maintain metadata (filename, size, type) to facilitate the transfer.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) for security, abuse prevention, and service diagnostics.
4. Temporary Storage Policy
DropMe is NOT a permanent cloud storage service.
- Files are automatically deleted from our servers after the expiration time you selected (e.g., 24 hours).
- Once deleted, files cannot be recovered. We do not keep backups of expired files.
5. Security
We use password protection for file access and delete passwords to ensure only authorized users can download or remove content. However, users are responsible for sharing these passwords securely.
